Christmas season was my favorite time of the year when I was your age. I did love the anticipation of gifts. The candy. The decorations. The music. You know how I love Christmas music. But I was also very mindful and even worshipful of the advent of Jesus. I admit that over the last several years I have lost my appreciation of Christmas. But not this year. This year, and every year from now on, I will revel in the wonder of this season. God loves us. Each one of us is beloved of the awesome God of the universe. This season celebrates God setting aside his glory and power to join us as a baby boy and walk among us and show us how to live. Jesus is the greatest gift ever given. Let us be thankful.
